Description

Anton Bruckner left three pieces titled Ave Maria. The first, for choir and organ/cello accompaniment, was written in 1856. The second, for seven unaccompanied choirs, was composed in 1861. The third, for Alto soloist and organ accompaniment, was written in 1882. The most famous of them is the one composed in 1861. This arrangement of Ave Maria is written for a flexible band. It is orchestrated for separate woodwinds and brass instruments, based on the mixed sound of the original SAATTBB scoring.
